About
Emmanuel Lutheran Church has been serving Christ and community since 1853 when a small group of families gathered for worship in the rolling sandhills of West Columbia. Many of those families still have roots at Emmanuel. With that said, we rejoice in the many other people who have made Emmanuel their church home. We love to welcome new comers!
We give God thanks for our faithful past because we believe that Jesus Christ has been faithfully empowering us for ministry in the world. While we look with fondness upon our past, we realize that the Holy Spirit is calling us into ministry now.
